After tried a numbers of whisky from Scotch, Japan, Taiwan to American.  I finally tasted Lagavulin 16 years and I immediately fall in love with it.  Possibly a single factor smoky!

I am not sure if I was a smoker before that influenced my taste.  I have stopped smoking for more than 4 years.  But Lagavulin given me that kind of feel that I would like to have a relationship with it for years to come.

I have done some searches and found that they are a few whisky fall into smoky category.  Namely  Ardbeg, Laphroaig, Caol ila, Talisker and Highland Park.  I will focus into smoky Whisky in months to come.

I also learnt that drying damp malt over a peat heated fire bring the smoke into the barley grain. From extremely smoke to smokeless peat heated drying method. It has embedded certain tabocca like favour into the whisky. Nice!

Jurgen Klopp appointment as new Liverpool FC manager excited us.  He wants to bring heavy metal football to LFC.  A big club needs just an ignition to have years of explosion.  Hope he will bring back the glory days of LFC.  So far he is really something different.  My most respected rivalry club ex-manager Sir Alex Fergusion is worried.  That’s a good sign and we are back to business again. First touched down in Frankfrut the financial hub of Germany.  The city is not pack with people but only around 800,000 population.  Well organized and a lovely city with famous sausages and beers.

Sausages are crispy and juicy.  I really can’t describe the taste but is definitely something I never try in Malaysian before.

I have selected two great photos that taken during my casual walk in the city. I found the evening scenes of the city is my best shot.

Magneficient train station reflected fully by evening sunset with outstanding golden crispy colour.

Follow up by a sculpture with just a little sunset light on top of his shirt.

We have taken an intercity train to Berlin. Again being the capital that full of historic milestones involving East and West Germany before the reunited Germany.  We can feel a completely different experience compare to Frankfrut.

There are many bullet holes we can easily found on the war of many buildings left over from World War II.

Perhaps the best part of the visit will be Berlin Wall that left onky around 500 meters as a historical spot.

Many modernized buildings are rising in Berlin.  We taken a shot of this beutiful design of the building that right standing with its edge towards a square.

We taken down this picture because it is an annual trendy and important hosting location of an event – Berlin film festival.

Follow up by a near by visit to our relative and friend staying in Hamberg.  We have the opportunity to learn down to earth life of a German with them for a week.

The city is the second largest port in Europe.  We taken a shot that shown the other side of the the story. A beutiful lake with stunning sunset view.  That day in just join the local with a good run to enjoy nice scene around.

Of course something that we will not miss is the character of the city where rivers are everywhere.  This shot we have taken near the port and we found is our best pick so far for Hamberg.

After a week, we took a train travel up north to visit Copenhagen, Denmark.  It was a nice experience for us to feel a city that living with one of the most happiest people on Earth. 

One of the most popular spot in Copenhagen.  A gift by a brewer to the city council following a story from Anderson that alone originated from Denmark.

Nyhavn is another simple but great place that we experience in Copenhagen.  A place full of restaurants and coffee shops for a lazy afternoon rest.  Perfect weather with perfect colours of these buildings make an outstanding shot. 

Opposite is also where Anderson stayed while he published his first masterpiece. 

Perhaps one of the strong character of most major European cities are rivers!  Within not more than 15 minutes walk will hit another bridge is pretty common there.

Finally, we are not hesitate to show a great place that we have visited.  Carlsberg brewery in Copenhagen.  The beers collection was a jackpot to us.  We like beers so much and we thought we were so lucky to see almost 10,000 collections of beers around the world right here.

Two weeks of localized experiecne given us a different view of cities we have visited.  It is too much to explain and I have no option but to pick some best shots just to share.   Footies were lucky and able to visit one of the landmark spot in this year.

Footies will stop a while expecting two new members joining us later this year.  We will have a bigger family and footies will go again when they are 6 months old!!

While visiting to Frankfrut, Hamburg and Berlin.  I thought wheat beer and dunkel are the favourite. In fact north Germany is more tend to pilsner.  Introduced by the local of two pilsner.

Berliner

Yellow gold to the eye.  Medium malty to the nose.  The taste is crispy and bitter with medium malt taste.  Fine bubbles and medium bitter after taste.  A pretty cooling summer beer.

Colonia

Crafted beet with light gold to the eye. Very fine and persisted bubbles.  Lite smell and lite malty taste but very bitter in the mouth.  However it is very smooth and left strong hops taste after.  Another well crafted beer for summer season.

Since my childhood I have always dreamed of riding a warrior machine to protect Earth from invasion.  We’ll probably a co-incident that I have managed to get this Gundam for myself.  At least now I can build a model that I can dream of riding it.

I learned that there are few series but hundred over models.  HD is the entrance and RD is a more detail model.  Whereas Master series more larger in size and perfect grade Is the highest grade for both size and detail.  This will definitely not my last model.

  

Since my last pair of boot that I have bought almost 20 years ago.  I have been kept looking for a new pair that suit me.  With great luck and I found my love again.  

Nothing pricy not outstanding.  It is just so basic that I feel suit my style a lot.  Easy to put on and with melt leather shown its masculinity.  I  going to be with this boot for a very long time.  Walk a very far distance.  Probably ride thousands miles…

  

I have heard about many types of blender in the market.  Eventually I decided to invest into a blender.  I chosen Philips On the go blender. 

Started with a formula using Whey protein + Banana 🍌 + low fat fresh milk.  The end result is super smooth shakes with 400 cal. 

It also come with an on the go ready bottles which is BPA free.  It is so easy to make a drink while or after workout.  I have added berries too and the taste is excellent.  Probably the best investment of the month.

We have decided this time round go further away to reach places like Pinnacles and we also took a ferry to Rottnest island.  Along side with our drive approximately 200KM north of Perth.  There are not really highway but normal road to Pinnacles. 

The scenery is very much with natural forest and desert.  It looks like a cowboy town in US.  We saw many Harley riders on our way.  Rest and toilet is an issue as it is not easy to get one for the whole journey.  We stayed one night at Cervantes Pannacles motel. We have visited beaches near the motel before next morning we went straight to Pinnacles. 

Pinnacles is a lovely place where an estimated 500,000 years old natural creatures are exposed.  The mixture colour of scenery are unique as it combined blue sky and sea; yellowish and white deserts. Greenish forest surrounding the entire area.  It is one of the most beutiful place footie ever visited if nature is priority.

Footie also visited Rottnest island with an approximately 30 minutes ferry service from North quay of frementle.  The island is pretty isolated from pollution with only bikes and walking are allowed.  There are only bus services on the island that organized by the authority.

The island has a lot of beutiful bays that may capture different people attention according to their own taste.  We suggest walking is definitely not an option.  If you are planning to complete the whole island. There is a designated bus route will guide you to all the hot spots around the island. 

We did a day trip with time just enough to visit two bays that near Thompson bay.  The beach is with crystal clear water and the temperature is icy cold during Autumn.  The Lighthouse which is a signature of the island has a superb view of the natural beach, Perth city and also boats docking at the bays.

Footie took a stay at Adelaide terrace with a morning run.  We experienced one of the greatest run with a nice track that we believe is a must to share with all. 

A number of tasks to be completed this year which require more technological infrastructure upgrade as smart home.  We have added a private cloud using Western Digital MyCloud storage device.  The device connect to our home wifi router.  Now every home member can have their own file storage like Dropbox or box.net concept at home.  A total of 2TB with media streaming sharing features are useful for smart home, home business and research purposes.  

Beside it can also access remotely outside via Internet access.  It also support multiple platforms from Mac to windows and Android.  This setup greatly enhanced our capability to achieve more this year.



Footie reached Marina Bay Sand last week.  Recommended by many friends in Singapore that I must take a look at the infinity pool.  It is exclusive to the guest.  From tower 2 access via different lift 55 floors to 57 floors. 

The pool with a glass edge made unique design and feel.  It is like you are floating on the entire metropolitan sky.  To a certain extend it is quite a unique feelings that you should feel it if you are there.  However, it is definitely not for real swimming intention.  With tons of people packing the pool.  The most I expect to just swim horizontally for just 5 to 10 meters maximum.  However it is quite a comfortable thing to just relax lying on the chairs with a drink and just feel the wind.

Beside, I found that the gym managed by Banyan Tree is exceptional quality and luxurious.  I like the view when you are running or cycling.  A huge Singapore city night view is in front of you.  With decent gym machines and with a sauna after the gym.  It is as one of the highly recommended things to do at Marina Bay Hotel.
