Tonight I decided to have a great night with raw Pu-erh from Du Mu Chun.

Smell like in the old forest and first taste like the green old trees bark. After taste is very long in the mouth. A little depth in the throat.

Closer look into the colour is clear bronze.

Using Sado Mumyoi tea pot and learning to use it for raw Pu-erh. The sensation in mouth filled with aroma of green tree bark. But after depth is light.

A great starting of Tea tasting journey!

茶道 – Taste tea to the next level

I have been hungry for knowledge in Chinese tea tasting for sometimes. I always don’t understand why people obsess about Zi Sha Hu tea pot. Today, I learned it from Hojo tea at mid valley. I like them as they are willing to spend time for me. Of course eventually also got me as their happy customer.

I bought Sado red clay tea pot. Reduction tea clay pot and purple clay tea pot. Three different tea pots given different taste from the same tea. Sado tea pot is good to bring out dedicated taste of a tea. Reduction clay brings out the boldness of certain teas and purple clay smoothen tea for light tea taste.

In my case, I like Soda red clay for my Taiwanese oolong, reduction clay for my Tie Guan Yin and purple clay for my Pu-er.

I have started yesterday night using purple clay for Japanese Karigane complimentary provided by Nateli of Hojo Tea. Start marking my intention to learn more on tea tasting as well.

Budweiser Budvar Czech

Initially I thought is a Budweiser US brewed in Czech. After tasted and relook into the can. It is completely a different beer from Czech.

Crispy and hoppy with taste of bitter. Perhaps same degree if crispy as Budweiser US. Made from barely malt and hops together with water. A light and refined character. If you like hoppy beer and crispy. This is the one so far tasted.

Kronenbourg Biere Blonde

While in France, of course we need to test out some beers in France. I tried a few Kronenbourg’s beer but first time see a blonde beer.

Yellow gold with fine bubbles. Smell pure malty with bubbles retained for quite a period. Crispy and slight hoppy with malty taste. Is a kind of light beer and it is pretty smooth too. After every sip feel slight hoppy but the feel is just right.

Very adaptive beer that crispy, slight hoppy, smooth and mild aroma with malty taste. For less than Euro 2 is a good problem for Malaysian.

Bekseju by Kooksoondang

Yellow gold appearance with strong herbs aroma. Brewed with 12 herbs and 13% alcohol. Feel warm when swallow. Learning how to differentiate the taste that so bold and crispy. A very nice wine I believe specially good when go together with Korean dining.

SKOL Beer brewed locally

Clear gold with little bubble appearance . Malty smell and not very gassy. Hoppy with malty taste for every sip. But feel very dull overall. Slight citrus tasted after a few sips. Personally I think is pretty standard commercial beer.
