British Ales – Tetleys since 1822 Ales are using top of the yeast that brew in higher temp. Unlike lager that uses bottom of the yeast to ferment in colder temp. Ales tasted a bit bitter than beer but lighter than stout. Tetleys Ales are very smooth and draught.
